I wish they'd made it less light. Edmund Gwenn was a wonderful old crook, so adding a little more suspense would have gone a long way in making this one greater. Still there was a lot of little things to love as Burt Lancaster tries to sole the case of the counterfeit bills. Becomes an odd gentle crime story.

An amiable if pretty unremarkable comedy. Lancaster and Gwenn are playing really broad versions of their typical screen personas, but since they're pretty damn likable, you're inclined to give this one a pass.

More lighthearted than funny, but still worth watching.
