An entertaining but forgettable Bing Crosby musical. W.C. Fields does his thing and he's good but out of place. Bing also does his thing but isn't believable as a tough guy.

Bing Crosby as the passive gentleman that gets disgraced for not accepting a duel and loses his girl. So he takes a job with W.C. Fields on his boat to sing his sweet songs. This is all a very light family movie affair flavored with Bing's popular voice and W.C.'s comedy. Best comic scene for me was the poker game. That's when Field's was let loose the most. Can't say any of the songs stayed with me very long, but at least Bing gets a girl in the end.
