I am racking my brain trying to figure out how one documentary could feature so many (perhaps too many) great comedians sharing their hopes, their dreams, their fears, their stories and their deepest thoughts, but be thrown together so haphazardly. In fact this would probably be better if it were just the raw footage. Whoever edited this completely fucked it up. It's like someone worked really hard crafting these intricate jigsaw puzzle pieces then handed them over to a toddler to put together.

Pros; Larry David, Martin Short, Stephen Merchant's story of his encounter with Steve Coogan. Cons; Its all splashed together in a mumble fest and it doesn't hold your attention what-so-ever.

Fun hearing all these famous comedians talk about comedy, influences and tragedies, but considering so many was giving an input here there wasn't really anything more then a light comedy tribute without anything truly insightful.

As a long time viewer of KPCS (Kevin Pollack's Chat Show for those that didn't know) this is steeped in Chat Show's own personal comedic sensibility rather than being more universally funny. If you don't try and take away some sort of grand/larger meaning it works really well as film with interviews from a staggering amount of comedians.

Probably the least funny film about comedy and featuring only comedians to ever have been made. Not to mention the regretfully overwhelmingly white perspective given throughout.
