In all likelihood, the best amnesia thriller ever made (leastways, the one where the amnesia thing was done in the least noncredible way :-) ). Excellent cast, strong writing, and a creative and daring visual style (for 1965, anyway)

Good looking mid-60s black and white production with fine performances by Peck and Matthau. Only real complaint is that the dialogue tries way too hard to dance around the plot so as not to give anything away. But, it was entertaining enough that I didn't mind too much.

A very entertaining amnesia mystery with a less than great ending. I enjoyed Matthau's wisecracking private detective.

A cheap flabbily plotted thriller with an off putting televisual style that takes forever to get going and keeps on slowing down to indulge in romance or terrible attempts at light comedy.

A suitably paranoid amnesia thriller, with fine performances from Peck and Matthau and very good direction from Dmytryk.

Entertaining poor-man's version of the 60's Frankenheimer-style paranoiac thriller. (The style is relatively more constrained though.) The pace is brisk (all the better to keep you from thinking too hard about whether it makes sense) and it wraps up satisfyingly.
