Miracle in Cell No.7

I loved this movie. The acting was great and the music heightened every scene. Sometimes the tone was inconsistent but that didn't hinder my appreciation for the film.

In preparation for the filipino remake coming, my wife wanted to see the original Korean version of Miracle in Cell No. 7 (2013). And man, was it a lovely roller-coaster of emotions! Mostly happy ones, though it did leave on a bitter note.

Good film but I hated when it keeps forcing you to cry!

It's a korean comedy/drama and tearjerker rolled into one. So as soon as you see the mildly retarded man speaking to his small innocent daughter you know the retarded man is fucked. There are no real happy endings in Korean film, the best the culture can manage is bittersweetness. This is also what you can expect. It's really well acted and has some funny moments but it is cynically designed by commitee to harvest the maximum amount of audience tears.
