Have you ever stopped to ponder what Rear Window would be like if Jimmy Stewart was an asthmatic bubble boy, Jimmy Stewart's little sister was weed-smokin' jailbait, and the mystery killer was six-foot bug who has a tendency to fall victim to violent stabby fits? Sure you have. Now add a smidgen of Lance Henriksen to the cauldron and cook on high for 80 minutes. VOILA!

I gotta give credit to the director of this one. Brilliant idea to combine the mimic franchise with the rear window formula. Someone is stuck in a room , observing what the neighbors/neighborhood is doing, sees something they shouldn't and get in a heap of trouble. Such a clever idea for making a low budget thriller. And it worked! The acting was solid, the scripting and directing fine. The story flowed nicely , wasn't bored for one second. A definite recommendation for any fans of the series

Not bad but not good either, the Hitchcock nod was nice but not that well done. The horror aspect was handled better but only comprised of the last 5-10 minutes. The best part of this movie is Alexis Dziena's acting which is miles better than any of the others including Lance Henriksen & John Kapelos.

It's a fun premise done a lot of justice. The characters are well-sketched with some sweet little beats, the monsters are wisely kept in the dark for the most part, the pacing is fast as a whip, and the story manages to keep you off guard more often than not. Better than anyone would expect.

It may be nothing more than a tribute to Rear Window, but it manages to be oddly entertaining. The only reason to actively seek this film out to watch, however, is for the fridge scene.
