Milk Money

A truly bizarre and cringey film that tries to be both a whimsical family comedy and sleazy sex farce. Needless to say, it fails at both, and stains your soul in the process.

I always appreciate any film that tries to humanize characters that our society may otherwise find undesirable, but this has been done better before. I also appreciate that this movie takes risks that no studio would ever attempt to make today. Sadly that doesn't save this movie from being a pretty blah affair.

Very wrong-headed and offensive.

Hey, this'll make a great kids movie! A single Dad's son decides to get him a hooker so he won't be so lonely! Although Melanie Griffith is definitely in her prime at this stage of her life (as plastic surgery had done her well), this movie plainly sucks. The fact that I recently re-watched it again on cable when I was at home, sick, gives this movie a very slight edge. The great actors make a total piece of crap into a semi-piece of crap.

Charming film! Pretty Woman / Kramer vs. Kramer!

This was back in the good old days when you could have a plot involving a stripper in a family movie and your parents would let you watch it without thinking twice.

The premise was pretty see--through, but I like Ed Harris.

A cute film, but I felt it was too much of a rip-off of Pretty Woman to take much credit.

A little funny, without great pretensions.

Why would anyone want to see this? Why did I waste my time? Why is Ed Harris so horribly wasted?
