It is the Lindsay's wedding anniversary and they are fighting. To help them settle down with a house and children, Uncle Matt writes Lord Epping for his help in getting the Lindsay's a war orphan. Unfortunately, he does not state which war and Epping gets one from WWI. The orphan is Fifi who is in her twenties and there is trouble for Uncle Matt and Dennis if their wives find out. (imdb)

The first film reminded me of the best of 3's Company & watching this one (the 4th I've seen) felt more like that than ever because even though it made me laugh the least, the same 5-6 characters keep returning & by this point I like seeing them again (esp Uncle Matt & his insults) & grinning at all the misunderstandings the writers juggle each time. The inciting incident is the most difficult to believe this time, but the duel works & its fun to finally see Uncle Matt have to pay for his tricks

Having already double-overdosed on Leon Errol's Lord Basil Epping scenario after watching Mexican Spitfire Out West (1940), if was not so wise to watch The Mexican Spitfire's Baby (1941) straight after. For he appears again. Dominates the attention again. And I double-overdose on him AGAIN! I still love Lupe Velez, the little that I got here, saving some of this from the double madness.
