Some nice animation, some good jobs. Not a match for something like Toy Story (or Toy Story 2 or 3) but this is solid family entertainment

I appreciate the offbeat quirkiness of the flick - it's definitely not mistakeable for a Dreamworks feature, or something. And the story - foosball turned football - is a neat concept, blending comedic, dramatic and fantasy elements well. But overall it's not really a winner, thanks largely to shambolic dubbing (there must have been literally no budget allocated to making the original lips match up to the English voices) and a script of inconsistent strength.

Harmless children's fodder that's not without some charm, but is ultimately unsuccessful or uninspiring on every level. The terrible English dub does it no favours
