Mermaid Legend

Willdly uneven tale, part porno (can be graphic despite the obnoxious blurring), part gorefest esp at the close, often outlandish with the plot going bananas and a bit of fantasy thrown in. Avoid unless you are a fan of Japanese insanity movies. The synopsis makes it sound logical but logic is a casualty from midpoint on.

One of the best films I've ever seen, and I can't even tell why! It's the atmosphere, the setting, everything, although it's a pretty basic revenge story. But you need to check it out for yourself.
