A very good movie in periods, but I can't help but feel this would have left a much stronger impression had the censures left it alone. Clark Gable & Myrna Loy did their part well and had a super quality supporting cast behind them and I could easily see this being closer to a Grand Hotel (1932) type movie had they wanted it to. At times it felt like that's what the director was testing out before the focus went all to Gable, Loy and the most impressive performance of the film in Jean Hersholt.
