Meeruthiya Gangsters

The movie is flawed in many ways but the sheer audacity to remain true to the regional attitudes and ticks makes this an extremely rewarding watch. Set in my home city, the characters and their conversation are refreshingly closer to reality than the standard vapid Bollywood fare. The movie doesn't break any new cinematic grounds but should serve as an inspiration to other budding filmmakers to make personal movies based on the world around them and reject the Bollywood mold.
