This "in-name-only" sequel to the camp comedy classic "Meatballs"(1979) is a bizarre oddity of cheap 80's camp comedy, PG rated 80's teen screwball sex comedy, and half-baked 80's sci-fi comedy, which together makes for a delightfully terrible dumb 80's comedy jumble. Despite being a goofy mess, for fans of broad dumb/bad comedies like myself, the movie, has enough quirks and charms, like its "Mac and Me"(1988)-esq 'kids befriend an alien' subplot, to make the whole thing kind of watchable.

Isn't there an alien in this? Why is that not in the summary?

For some reason I've seen this movie three times now, and it gets worse each time.

Like listening to your coworker butcher a retelling of a joke they heard a comedian do. The remnants of the first film are smoldering ashes, there is no going back. It would be interesting to have seen this under a different moniker, just as a poor camp movie with an inexplicable alien character and some decent supporting cast members (decent actors, not decent performances). Perhaps it would reach the lofty heights that indifference can allow, maybe a rating in the 30's instead of the teens.
