Meat

It's not too bad in concept, but the exploration of "vlees" or "meat" in this film isn't exactly subtle. It's hacked into you with a large butchers knife. I couldn't stand any of the repulsive male characters (that's the point?) or connect with any character. So I suppose I wanted to connect with something, some of the cinematography was cool, but felt disjointed. The story was also pretty lacklustre, artiness compensating for content. The musical score is the closest thing I could connect with.

Meat's got here at least double meaning I must say. The story was very artsy though the subject of it more earthly. The plot tried to loop itself back to beginning too many times and stumbled on it's own cleverness. Not to talk about several story holes. None of characters got a clear line who they were. Except the whole thing was extremely male chauvinistic and misogyny.
