Raised in the African bush country by her zoologist parents, Cady Heron (Lohan) thinks she knows about "survival of the fittest." Heathers lite though it may be, it's like a perfect pop song, so easily palatable. On Wednesdays they wear pink, one of them has a weave made out of some kid's mom's chest hair, and another met John Stamos on a plane. This is 100% fetch and you know it.

Mean Girls is the perfect high school teen film. Written by Saturday Night Live's Tina fey, the story follows a girl's journey through high school as she becomes friends with a group of popular girls. This movie is hilarious but at times it can get a little cheesy. I recommend this movie for teens that are looking for a good laugh but also are willing to face the important issues that one has to face in high school. This movie may be inappropriate or children under 13.

Very funny and reminded me quite a bit of John Hughes' movies. It isn't overly raunchy like a lot of the teen comedies that followed it and the cast is all very good, Lohan being in her prime and McAdams playing a ‘mean girl' all too well. Favorite character was Lizzy Caplan's. I also really likes the movies message and themes. That puts its above most high school comedies already. Well worth watching if you haven't seen it yet.

Girl fights and high school drama are the key components of Mean Girls, an entertaining film written by Tina Fey. This movie displays the classic stereotypes of teenagers in high school: geeks, jocks, and the popular kids. Regardless of whether the movie provides an accurate representation of high school life, this film's sarcasm and amusing script has helped to make it one of the most popular motion pictures among teens.

Would be the greatest movie ever made about high school if it weren't for the painfully sappy ending. Still, Tina Fey's script is insanely quotable. Rachel McAdams gives a real tour de force performance and Lindsay Lohan reminds us why she was ever famous to begin with.

Very funny high school movie. Maybe the best for the mid 2000s generation (my generation). It's quality satire that has a solid truth in it even when it's borders on the extreme for laughs. Speaking of laughs, this movie is very funny. It does happen to be a bit cliche at the end unfortunately, but everything up to that point is quite great.

I liked Mean Girls far more than I thought I would. The film ended up being very interesting. While I don't believe it was, or even really tried to be, an accurate representation of high school life, the setting made it something that almost everyone could relate to. The characters were interesting, and you want to see the story conclude, meaning you will see it through to the end. It wasn't incredibly funny, but it was humorous enough to give out a few laughs.

This movie is probably one of the only movies of its genre I can appreciate. I has some good laughs and I guess it's a successful parody on the 'habitat' of teenage girls in american high-schools, but in the end its just another teen comedy starring the utterly anoying teenage superslut Lindsey Lohan.

It pretty much follows a standard teen movie arc, but it has a decent message and avoids a lot of potential pitfalls. But it's not great either. Lohan is hardly a great actress. She carries the film well enough, but lacks any charm beyond her good looks (which are admittedly formidable). The gags aren't awful but few of them elicit more than a smile. I had hoped for something funnier coming from Fey. I didn't hate watching it, but I can't imagine wanting to see it again.

Full of enough excellent moments to cover over its multitude of sins; namely, a protagonist whose likeability disappears a third of the way through and is never properly reclaimed and a dull, vanilla love interest.

Decent high school flick, I mean it's no "10 Things I Hate About You" but I was diggin' it. The clique cliches seem like a worn out bag of tricks but they wring a few fresh laughs out of it. The love interest is disappointingly one-dimensional but the queen bee character is more fleshed out than I would have expected.

It has been a while since I've seen this, but for some reason there was something about it that made it a guilty pleasure (probably my incessant masturbation). Now I can't put my finger on why it was charming, so I knocked a few points off (also giving it quite an immature score) which seems fitting.

Coming back to this as an adult (and finally being able to watch it all in a single sitting), this is still pretty decent! Manages to capture the awkward feeling of trying to fit in at school pretty well, and it's got some great belly laughs. It's a bit oddly paced and Hollywood's obsession with cliques is tiring, but I still had fun. Worth your time.

A smart screenplay from Tina Fey and a preview of some devices that she would use on her television shows makes Mean Girls way smarter and wittier than it has any business being. It doesn't punch that far above its weight class consistently, but when it did it had me rolling.

This is probably going to be a generational thing, but I've heard so many references to this movie, it's pretty thoroughly ingrained in pop culture. I also love the comment I read that it's a female version of Lord of the Flies, complete with one character having one lens of her glasses broken.

The plot is conventional and a little unsatisfying and unrealistic near the end (see Cady taking all the blame, then making everything okay with one speech) but a lively script populated by plenty of memorable one-liners ("It's like I have ESPN or something"), quirky side characters (see weary Mr. Duvall, gangsta math geek Kevin), and oddball asides (see the teens like animals bits) entertains, and the epilogue is touching ("All you can do in life is try to solve the problem in front of you").

One of the decade's better high school movies (and what might well end up being the highlight of Lindsay Lohan's career), Mean Girls is funny, smart, more ambitious than the average high school movie in the message it tries to impart, and on top of all that it has one of the most smokin' hot collections of ladies ever. Kudos to Tina Fey's script.

[777th ranking, woot!]. Directed by the brother of the guy who wrote "Heathers," but lacks both the '80s kitsch and the wallowing in relentless, reactionary obdurateness and pure, delicious, -evil.- That's pretty much what made "Heathers" fun, so I can understand those who read this as a watered-down version of it, but I prefer to take this one on its own terms; it's fun for what it is-- I approve.

Mean Girls was a pretty good movie. What better way to learn life lessons than through comedy? I would reccomend this movie to anyone who has ever been in high school and experienced the hardships of trying to fit in. This movie makes fun of these stereotypes and shows why they are pointless.

A much better movie than it should be. Fey's script is good, but not flawless. There are many quotable lines, the best of which come from the adult cast (made up of ex-SNLers Meadows, Poehler, Gasteyer and Fey herself). What starts out as scathing satire, however, ends up becoming exactly what it targets. Everything winds up the way it should; the story ties itself up in with a neat little bow; no hurt feelings are left unresolved. In other words, the exact opposite of high school.

A nostalgic movie where teens are living in the pre-smartphone era. An era where fat butts were frowned upon. The movie is entertaining. Typical stereotypical high-school themes plus mature content in it - like as if it is Glee. A school portraying students in cliques. It's also not a movie where you can watch with your parents though. The plot is ok and it seems realistic enough. And you'll get a powerful self-improving message from Ms. Norbury at the near end of the movie.

Mean Girls both suffers and benefits from the weight of expectations. This movie is genuinely far, far funnier and more entertaining than it has any right to be and that is considering how cliche the entire thing is. Very good teen comedy and Lohan's best (and only worthwhile?) film. Tina Fey's script is genuinely funny and the film is effectively directed by Mark Waters. At 90mins+ it's about the right length. The cast does a good job with McAdams and ex-SNLers being the stand-outs - as is Lohan, and it's a pity that she wasted her career afterwards. My only real gripe is that it like so many other satires, it gets too preachy towards the end and loses part of what made it special in the first place.
