Maze

Not bad. The writing and directing might have benefited from a tad more subtlety--it's all not nearly as complex as the play-on-words title tries to suggest--but it's lovely and honest. Laura Linney is great, as usual, and the men mostly hold their own. The device of the ambiguously-worded letter at the end leading up to the denouement is a bit twee, but after the only non-sappy birthing scene I know of, it can be forgiven. Worthwhile.
