An Iranian actress is violently beaten and raped, loses her courtbattle, gets flogged, and is temporarily banned from acting. Then a random bearded old dude shows up in the middle of the film to tell her that he *understands* her situation simply because his career was affected by the political changes after the Revolution and he, too, had to go to the court regularly! Random bearded old dude then proceeds to quote a poem by Hafez on the virtue of patience.
