Mary

Goi's previous foray into big screen directing, "Megan is Missing", was flawed but quite effective. "Mary" is just bad. My only enjoyment here came from admiring the English leads' American dialects. The script is very, very trite.

Criticker suggested I rated this 23 points and I was like "well, that's harsh. It wasn't that terrible, just below average. There must have been something I liked. Oldman was kinda okayish? It wasn't an absolute clichestorm? Right? Right?" And thus the algorithm proved that it knew me better than I knew myself.

Dead Calm (1989), Triangle (2009), The Boat (2019), and several fathoms down this piece of plastic trash. Oldman phones it in, but then the writing is bottom tier.
