Martyrs

I went into this determined to judge it on its own merits. So what if it's a needless remake. But oh man - just the first 10 minutes. 10 minutes of terrible exposition, awful acting. . . then BLAM! Horribly rendered CGI shotgun blast to the chest! Then it gets WORSE. Now I've got to see the original again because this pile of shit has me doubting it's as good as I remember.

You just became a martyr for watching and torturing yourself through the whole thing.

What is this nonsense? I thought this was the original (which I'd heard good things about), so I gave it a go but man. There's some semblance of a plot but it's paper thin at best and it's all an excuse for the violence that ensures. There's also not enough scares or thrillers to offset that so it's just overall disappointing and ultimately a waste of time to watch.

Sad and unnecessary.

Martyrs (2015) starts curiously enough, then quickly turns into a mess killing all interest in it.
