There are individual moments that are pretty great, but as a whole this spy plot feels like it's drifting a lot. Best approach is to take it as a mellow spy drama to be more onboard with the flow of this. Erich von Stroheim was put to good use. So was Edwige Feuillère as madame spy. The allure is there.
