"Mars One" is a sweet and moving film that puts its characters in realistically dire situations. While it may meander, it remains compelling throughout, thanks to the well-developed characters and talented cast. The film delivers a timely message about the importance of connections and reminds viewers of what truly matters in life.

Surviving and dreaming. As often with Filmes de Plastico's works, a deliciously detailed, painful, funny, even suspenseful portrait of working-class live with all its everyday trials, misfortunes and little flashes of faith and joy. Pre-pandemic and still in the first days of Bolsonaro's government of total destruction, so you would imagine their life will problably get worst. But, for now, let's just try to stay alive and wish that the next 24 hours will be better than the last.
