Oh my god the end credit song is worth the wait. DO NOT FAST FORWARD it builds to it. It's really impressive though that this is a beter film than the first one. You can't even tell Z'Dar's face has been set on fire and beaten .

The Empire Strikes Back of the Maniac Cop trilogy, MC2 not only surpasses the first installment, but also features a member of the (Earl) Jones family. The addition of Robert Davi's pocked face to the cast is the perfect offset to the Z'dar-brand super-chin. I'm man enough to admit the monologue by the blind newspaper salesman brought a tear to my eye. I'm also man enough to admit I downloaded the Maniac Cop Rap and put it on my iPod after watching the end credits. +10 for the Danny Trejo cameo.

Quite decent continuation. It's still silly and over the top, but the whole thing just pushed the right B-movie buttons. Extra points to the completely hilarious end credits song. The main drawback is a lack of Bruce Campbell.

This sequel to the 80's slasher/cop B-movie "Maniac Cop"(1988) is surprisingly good. Rivaling, if not surpassing the original, this follow-up manages to mix up all the elements from the first film into a slightly more over-the-top version. The cherry on top of this low-rent horror movie is the end credits rap, as possibly one of the best to come out during the weird period of time between the late 80's to early 90's where horror movies needed to have their own rap song.

The friendship (some could say romance) between the 2 serial killers was lovely.

Lustig improves on the original in almost every way, especially in the visual department. It's a surprisingly stylish, far more confidently directed film with superior acting, pacing and stunts, and the brooding atmosphere seems more purporseful. Usually back stories in horror don't work, but Cohen came up with one that adds some dimension to its monochrome villain, and Davi fits in well in this gloomy nocturnal world.

A slasher series than continues to be better than expected (which, of course, its still not good). The relationship between the two killers was completely unexpected but a greatly appreciated bit off fun

So goddamn good! Far surpassed my expectations. Incredible stunt work and chase scenes. The original rap song in the end credits is such a pure delight "you have the right to a mortician"

Good continuation from the first movie, though it was sad to see Bruce Campbell just mail it in.

Pay no mind to Bruce Campbell's name touted proudly on the cover like a badge of honor, he serves his five minutes as briefly and unenthusiastically as possible. What remains is an unimportant sequel to a cult movie that baffles me. You know, aside from looking at Robert Z'Dar's chin.

Not quite as good to watch as the first one(are they ever), but it still has it moments. And of course fro the Bruce fans, he had a small role in this as well. I liked how the original characters in the first movie were wrapped up as far as a storyline before new characters were added. Several actors that I can remember seeing in other movies made this kind of watchable as well.

Continues the story of the first alright although it mostly just feels like a repeat in terms of the scenes and way the plot plays out. Robert Davi was a nice addition – I also spotted a young Danny Trejo instantly in a microscopic 5-second part, he's just that recognizable. Decent soundtrack. Car chases etc mostly dull. The Tubi upload of the film had a slight but discernible high pitched whining noise throughout the whole film that had me teetering on becoming a Maniac Film Watcher.

The curse of the sequel. I liked the first one better; this is less awkward and more mainstream. Weird and crazy has been replaced by predictable. However, the stunts are amazing.

This is a weird sequel in that it succeeds despite getting rid of all the things that made maniac cop successful : No Tom Atkins, No Bruce Campbell, No Richard Roundtree or Laurene Landon. Get rid of them in the first 20 min. Instead double down on the copaganda and the sleaze and the explosions. Thanks larry cohen and william lustig for the maniac cop 2 rap ! ALL COPS ARE MANIAC COPS INDEED!

BlurayRip RARBG.

No, it's not a documentary. Much better than it needs to be, this "I Can't Believe It's Not Cannon!" action/horror hybrid just might represent the apex of 80s/early-90s neo-B-movie junk. Loaded with skeevy pre-Giuliani NYC atmosphere, over-the-top action and stuntwork (does any other movie feature this many bodies flying through the air and/or smashing through plate-glass windows?), and fun supporting performances from solid character actors.

Bruce Campbell gets little more than a cameo in this. The stunt work in this film is great. The movie is both better and worse than the original. It's not horrible but I wouldn't consider it a classic of any kind.

Starts off promisingly - more polished, entertaining and action orientated than it's predecessor. Things start to go downhill when Maniac Cop gets his own wise-cracking sidekick. It's still OK as far as 90's slashers go. Fans of Bruce Campbell will be disappointed to find out that his role is basically a cameo.

This successfully sicko sequel, which works in a clever _Bride of Frankenstein_ hook, benefits from crisp lensing, an excellent genre cast (plus a cameo by Sam Raimi as a TV announcer), and a full complement of killings, car crashes, and action set pieces. Particularly impressive is the elaborate pyrotechnic work, as those unsung men in the gray asbestos suits perform some truly scary daredevil fire stunts. The movie is dedicated to the late, great Joe Spinell.
