Poor Bernard Blier. He always gets these parts being the goof that gets played by everyone. Here by gold digger Simone Signoret and her gruesome mama-san ma Laure Diana. And they hold nothing back in humiliating him. It's a depressing tale because they keep on pushing the man's kindness to no end, while cheating and taking all his money. No shame at all. The man does get his little moment in the sun for the end, but not enough to justify what these two nasty women did to him.
