Man on Fire

I've seen Scott Glenn fly into space and tuck his penis behind his legs. I'm pretty confident that he's going to ruin these kidnappers lives.

We could all use an unstable Joe Pesci in our wheelhouse of friends. I wanted this to be a little more than it was but I have a lot of respect for it. I actually prefer The Man From Nowhere to the Man on Fire from 2004, but I need to rewatch the remake after seeing this. If this review keeps going I'm eventually going to be going through my grocery list. Man on Fire! Great cast, Pesci destroys somebody's radio and Danny Aiello screams like a goof.

This is one where i'm glad they remade it. The Denzel version is superior. This one just looked strange and was strange, but I made it to the end.

Good cast, movie is a bit slow until it finally starts going somewhere. I liked it enough.

Nothing that was very interesting or clever happens, but it hits the gritty tone.

The story was decent and the film had a realistic feel to it during the vengeance portion. But everything else wasn't that good or memorable. The acting felt like something out of a TV Movie, the direction was bland, the editing was sloppy and the camerawork was frustrating. Worth watching just to see how good the Denzel version is.

Scott Glenn's best star vehicle. I'm not a huge Tatantino fan, but apparently the reason the vastly inferior remake happened was that Tarantino used to push the flick when he was a video store clerk, and Tony Scott was one of the customers he pushed it on. Seems like a better candidate for a Rolling Thunder release than some of the others that came out under than banner...

Decent thriller but for a change the remake is 100% better.
