Making Of

In general, I'm not a huge fan of movies-about-moviemaking and their life-imitates-art trope, but "Making Of" is simply delectable. The characters pop out so much that even the few lines of the most minor characters are excellent, making this more a symphony orchestra than an ensemble piece; it's funnier than anything I've seen from French cinema in a long time; and the plot is beautifully ironic with an inspired treatment of the happy/tragic ending issue. My favorite Cedric Kahn.
