Makan

My main issue with "Makan" is that it is a short film, whereas I think it would have worked better as the first part of a feature because it sets up several aspects of the protagonist's life (primarily feeling alienated in a foreign country and struggling to learn its language, but also pregnancy as well as a seemingly strained marriage) yet does not delve deeply into any of them. The brief, distant finale is the closest we get to an arc, however it is presented in a stilted, artificial manner.
