Chanthakkadu Vishwam (Mammootty), an ex-teacher turned moonshiner & gangster, tries to protect Asst. Commissioner of Police Chandradas (Murali), who gets ensnared in a murder allegation planned by Chandradas's father-in-law & criminal Kelu Writer (Thilakan), after Chandradas proves unsupportive of Writer's activities. Writer, who years ago had murdered Vishwam's father Kumaran (M.G. Soman) & for which Vishwam was jailed, had a personal rivalry with Vishwam, which pits them against each other. (Summary by iceblox)
