Lupin the Third: The Secret of Mamo

Here I was thinking Lupin was about Thieves and shit, but then this movie pulls out clones of historical figures like Napoleon and Hitler, giant brains that want to be god, and a bunch of bizarre nudity. That said, the movie is a cool visual experience that keeps your interest with outlandish shit, but the characterization is inconsistent and the plot is awful. Mamo's motivation is convoluted and Fujiko goes from femme fatale to meek damsel with no real impetus to do so.

Super interesting actually. Between the nostalgic animation style and witty, funny humor from Lupin, I could see myself watching a lot more of Lupin. With lovable characters and an old school sensibility. The Secret of Mamo was a really fun time, and an anime movie, I would definitely recommend.
