A fairly talented cast is completely wasted. Ephron should stick to her romantic comedies.

A genre mashup that neither works well as a comedy or a crime flick. The cast is stacked, but the apparent solution to getting bored with a character is just adding a new one. Bill-freaking-Pullman shows up at minute 59. Come on. No one is likable and it is obvious Ephron didn't really like them either.

It did make me lightly giggle a couple times so it's better than Mixed Nuts. Comedy was not Ephron's strong suit.
