Lu Over the Wall

While it's animation style and premise makes it destined to be compared to Ghibli, and "Ponyo" specifically, this movie stands on it's own two feet. It's an imaginitive, very entertaining movie with some decent animation. I have nothing to complain about.

Another joyful, wild ride with memorable animation from Masaaki Yuasa. This would make for an interesting double feature with Pixar's Luca.

Not a Studio Ghibli film, the visuals weren't quite as well done. There was some nice music. Some fun, weird ideas. A weird version of our world. The story sometimes seemed to skip a bit of development. Dancing vampire mermaids.

A bit messy in both art and story, but still affecting, creative, and fun.

Goofy fun. Has a bizarre Ghibli feel.
