This grew on me. At first I was a hater about the concept. Another film about a perfect girl (Dobrev looks like Emmanuelle Chriqui) who just can't find love, with a nerdy Asian male character, but the film does a good job in pointing out her flaws and making her realize it. Needed more buildup of their romance and chemistry though. Overall, a heartfelt romcom without the typical cheap jokes. Harry Shum Jr is always great. Gorgeous house. Fav scenes: Baby It's Cold Outside; bad profile pics.

Industrial strength cringe. If you can deal with that, more power to you, and honestly it's not a bad example of it, but it hurt my very soul.

Surprisingly fun. But Jimmy O. Yang isn't a very good choice for this movie. I felt like the chemistry between him and Nina Dobrev just didn't match.

Netflix has a whole cottage industry of these types of rom-coms and this is one that's worth it. Plus it's got a nice holiday theme to it so it's good for the season. I wish they let Jimmy Yang show off a bit more of his comedic chops, but there's still some decent comedy here.

The story a woman whose career is to write a blog about all the horrible tinder dates she has, but still flies cross country to get catfished. So yeah the set up is dumb. But when it gets to the meat of the story it does get a lot better. Hitting its beats, which inherent to the genre are very predictable, well.

Better than you might expect, but still a relatively typical rom-com in disguise. Still, it's very refreshing to see an Asian lead, and the cast as a whole is pretty good—Harry Shum Jr., as a jerky brother was particularly great. It does fall into some troupes but for the most part, it is pretty fun.

A reasonably entertaining movie with an ending that can only be found in the movies. I enjoyed Nina Dobrev and Jimmy O Yang in this romantic comedy. It was lighthearted and fun enough to enjoy. A good date movie, but entirely forgettable.

Türünün iyi örneklerinden aynı zamanda günümüze bir çok gönderme eşliğinde özgün senaryoya sahip. Tempo yüksek, zaman zaman insanı gülümseten sahneleri var. Keyifle izleniyor.

The set up itself is pretty cliched and thin, but the chemistry between the leads somehow works and there are some fun comedic moments. Mostly, however, it's fluff packaged in Christmas-themed scenes that we've seen countless times before and without much creativity.

Netflix seems to be all about making as much films as possible in a certain theme, resulting in 90% utter garbage and 10% fun. This is one situated in the 10%. It's not the best christmas film, but it's fun, it's enjoyable. Nothing more, nothing less.

I love cliches when they are done with a fresh take. This movie is riddled with delicious tropes and I'm okay with that (I especially enjoyed the ones the movie called itself out on). What I'm not okay with, is how safe and step-by-step the whole concoction ends up becoming. We even get a big heartfelt public speech at the end, and I'm just overdone with those. Lovehard is equivalent to a three day old leftover of delicious food. Yeah, you still eat it, but you know its stale.

Surprisingly good considering it’s a made for Netflix Christmas movie. It has a good mix of quirky comedy and feel-good holiday film. I thought the leads did a solid job and it was fun to see Jimmy O. Yang of Silicon Valley fame flex out his acting muscles. It’s biggest fault is that once the basic setup is introduced, you know exactly where it’s heading; and it looks like the filmmakers understood that by keeping the scenes without the leads to bare minimum.
