Love in Bloom

I think the expressions on the cover of the movie pretty much match my reaction.

Not enough George Burns & Gracie Allen! Instead a couple of romantic leads whose careers in cinema went nowhere in Joe Morrison & Dixie Lee. At least Dixie made Bing Crosby a lovely wife and mother of his 4 children, and admittedly she was lovely here. Can't say the same about Morrison, but he did have a sweet voice. Not much personality to go with it though. The manipulative papa gave the overly sweet story some weight, but not enough to make this anything other than romantic fluff.
