Love and the Devil

It's 1929 and cinemas are being hooked-up for sound. This one originally had a soundtrack, which is lost I'm guessing, but no dialogue, so technically a silent. When you look at the cast, barely any of them survived that transition to sound, so this it basically their cinema burial we are witnessing. Solid actors, but the narrative and flow of Love and the Devil (1929) was a little too slow for their personalities to shine in the best possible light. The rest is history. Just not theirs anymore.
