Don't know why, but I found the romance aspect of Love Me Forever (1935) a bit creepy. And in a way that helped bring a darker approach to what could have easily been a fluffy romance musical. Very opera dominant musical, though they try to hip-up Grace Moore with some more contemporary sounds, but she shines the best in her natural environment. Enjoyment depends on your patience with classical vocals.
