Questionable courtship and odd romantic choice for Elizabeth Taylor aside, Love Is Better Than Ever (1952) provides a snappy good time. Larry Parks as the lead in this was tough to take, but he took to the role and went with it. The obvious visual was that Elizabeth Taylor was way beyond his league, yet, he's the one playing her. But at least Taylor get her sweet revenge, done through baseball. Had the MGM polish, so it looked good and flew by fast.
