L'opéra de quat'sous

The french version of Pabst's Die 3 Groschen-Oper that was filmed parallel with the german version. A good movie, but for me the german cast was way surprior in their parts, so this was not as captivating. More a curiosity on how they made these parallel movies in different languages in the early 30's to reach a bigger international audience with a production. It was easier in the silents days when one only needed to change title cards. Things became very different in the arrival of sound.
