A film that depicts today's London very well, but there are spoilerrific reasons why I found it disappointing. At least it was short and cogent.

Powerful performances from the two leads but, aside from that, this is a pretty unremarkable film. Unless you count wanting to punch Blethyn in the face for 90 minutes.

Unexceptional but engaging, it manages to be full of pain and also full of heart. There are some tender moments, but the premise makes everything too predictable.
