Live Wire

Nothing better than stumbling into a 90s action movie you had no idea existed, bonus points if it's any good. A clown blows up, you know where this falls. Every character in this movie knows about Pierce's wife like she's a Rodney Dangerfield punchline.

After a politician dies, seemingly of spontaneous combustion, explosives expert Danny O'Neill (Pierce Brosnan) is called in to investigate. O'Neill and his team have to work under Sen. Frank Traveres (Ron Silver), but the two have a troubled history since the government official is sleeping with the agent's estranged wife. Soon Traveres becomes a target of the mysterious assassins, and O'Neill discovers that they are using an ingested liquid explosive to kill their victims.

It had a lot more potential than it achieved, but it had a few interesting concepts and a not bad plot.

Good 80's style fun with the flair/realism of a 21st century film!

Someone invented an explosive that looks like water and detonates when drunk... And James Bond/That guy from Mamma Mia is on the case!

Decent enough movie. It's fun to watch Pierce before he was Bond.
