The Dead End Kids in a lesser street kid picture without any other star power then themselves to make it a thrilling movie. Becomes a little uneven and it's more melodrama then action and pranks. Has it's moments though with Billy Halop as the main guy getting into trouble once his father is sent to prison for murder. Jackie Searl makes an appearance as the snotty wannabe gangster taking advantage of their unfortunate situation. And the others make enough noise for one not to fall asleep.
