The first film of Little Orphan Annie (1932). Back then a popular comic strip and not the musical the later more famous versions were inspired by. No "Hard Knock Life" for us here. Instead we have a charming little hour of Mitzi Green as Annie helping young Buster Phelps find a foster home and having time to do some of her famous impersonations. All-in-all a fun film in which old May Robson was a important factor in giving it that extra heartfelt feeling.
