Little Monsters

Despite a solid premise & fun performances from Mandel & Savage, this is more a tedious, overlong mess than anything. The pacing is off, the tone is all over the place, the writing is clumsy, & the supporting cast don't leave much of an impression. The only memorable thing about it is Mandel's Maurice, who- while rather grating- is enjoyable at times. With all the overt adult humor side by side with family film cliches, I'm not really sure who this is for. It has its moments, but not enough.

Another movie I ruined by rewatching it 25 years later.

Not a great film even for children, its odd and misses a lot, and at more times its just annoying.

Wasted potential.

Annoying and often downright repulsive and mean. Just one of those movies that feels... inappropriate. The jokes are too dirty and the adult characters are way too "handsy" with the kids, bad combination. Not unmemorable, but uh, *yikes*.

I rate this movie a little higher simply due to nostalgia, my real thoughts on the movie are that it definitely has not aged well. really not a good movie, but I cant help but remember the excitement I had each time I watched this movie as a kid

Well, I don't remember it a lot, just that I liked it but didn't love it as a child. I guess that's the most accurate thing I can say.

Dope kids movie...

Even as a child, this film felt a bit uneven and... strange I guess. It's an interesting idea, and I recall some pretty neat scenes, but it wasn't one of those that I really loved.

A pretty cute little kids movie featuring a young Fred Savage. It's a neat little concept done well, I think, though it probably hasn't aged very well. Trivia fact: this is the film we watched at my birthday slumber party in 1st grade.

Sorry, Fred Savage...you were like a childhood best friend to me, but even The Wizard was better than this...and that is saying something.
