humor derives from the "kids are dicks, so your kid being Anti-christ isn't anything special" dialogue, less from actual scenarios. everything Bridget Everett said made me laugh. After the demon child causes a clown IMMOLATION, she tells Scott how bad he messed up because "Now every kid's gonna want a burning clown at their party." Ultimately, what I'm saying is that if you're not a parent, or can't relate to being around kids like that, there's not much humor that's going to land for you

Satanic children are always fun. They could probably be more fun than this, though. Not bad, but tries for 90s Steve Martin when it should have tried for 90s Bruce Campbell.

There is a sweet story about the bonding between a stepfather and stepson, but it never really works as a horror comedy.

Interesting concept and it had some genuine laughs but it felt very generic and only half as clever as it could have been. Especially the last third was rather bland.

An ok movie with a great concept that is hindered by it being a comedy that isn't very funny and a horror that isn't very horrifying. Even the satirical bits that horror movies are ripe to be parodied seem very obvious and lack any punch.

Starts off as a terribly generic comedy with a ripped off idea we've seen before. The comedy is never quite there, supplying vague amusement, rather than laughs. About two thirds the way through it changes direction and picks up on a fresh thread of plot, along the way gathering quite a bit of entertainment, but still never quite mustering a good laugh.

Just boring as all get out. I really like Adam Scott but the horror in this movie is funnier than the comedy and that's not saying much at all.

Not funny but gets bonus points for the gratuitous Evangeline Lilly bra shot

For me, this movie was worth watching if only for the performance of Evangeline Lilly. She is so hot and sweet in this! Being the stepdad to a child of Satan will strike a chord with stepdads the world over, but it's impossible to really get immersed in this silly story. It's basically a cheesy comedy with some very strange characters, a lot of religious hokum, but with a nice twisty ending. It passes the time and that's about it.

A good subversion of the Omen and its tropes. I wish it could have been more complex on the good vs. evil front. Or, possibly it could have chosen a more metaphorical angle. Also, the kid had a great glare but no charm; sounded very wooden.

Funny, charming, if not particularly interesting, twist on The Omen.

Honestly, I didn't know what I was watching for the first half of this movie. This was one of the biggest WTF movies I've seen in awhile, and I was ready to turn it off. The second half however improves, and I kinda did feel for Scott's character, and the interactions with the kid provides a little underlying message, but it's been done before and it doesn't help that everything felt so random, every turn the movie takes has no build and came out of left field.

What's with Netflix and just recycling old ideas. This one is kinda like a comedy version of Omen (and they do pay homage to that film here). It's not funny or scary enough to be much of anything, unfortunately. It's not a terrible film, but it's very mediocre and that being nice. Adam Scott is generally great, but unless you are a diehard fan, this isn't worth watching at all.

A bit disappointed. While I wasn't expecting Shaun if the Dead or Tucker and Dale vs Evil, it really didn't deliver as many laughs as I thought I would get out of. Decent acting but a bit boring for s horror comedy movie.

Absolutely terrible attempt at a very strange comedy with an uncertain direction; one has trouble at times understanding how certain jokes are meant to laugh, given how misogynistic they are. The narrative, initially, seems to be saying that it's fair enough to hate children, but soon backtracks on the fact, and a lot of the jokes just straight up don't land as a result of somber delivery and backing. The last 20 minutes somewhat redeems the rest of the film, but it can't make up for it.

It's definitely not an amazing comedy, nor a great parody, but it hits the spot with the awkward humor. America can't get enough of quirky middle-aged men and neither can I. A light movie, a bit over the top at times, but overall nice. Adam Scott is fantastic at... just being himself, which is awesome. His characters are always pretty much the same, but he is so adorable and lovable.

Should be a instant classic considering the talent involved but somehow manages to contain not a single laugh (or squeak).

Little Evil is mildly amusing horror comedy that pays tribute to several classic horror films, most notably The Omen. Scott is a decent lead and Atlas does a good job of playing both creepy and sweet. The rest of the cast is fun game of recognisable faces from TV shows. At 90 minutes long, the film doesn't feel long, and satisfies that itch for good bargain bin content that doesn't require much thought... aka Netflix at its best.

Little Evil feels like it has greatness within its grasp, but settles for mediocrity. Really half-assed schlocky unfunny writing plague this movie almost as much as Chris D’Elia’s presence. Adam Scott is hilarious as always, and Evangeline Lilly is well-case as his idiot wife. I think a couple more drafts would’ve gone a long way with this one.

The idea was interesting, and the denial of Scott's character was fun for a while. It sorts of seem to have difficulty deciding between trying to exploit the absurd humour, and between switching gear into more of an action horror comedy kind of movie. That hesitation kind of makes it a less interesting shaky middle ground until the action happens. Though I guess some families and fathers who laugh at every parenting joke might find it passes time and have some laughs.
