I watched this while coming down from dental sedation. It was hard to follow, because of that. I don't recommend watching movies this way.

The script is peppered with small comedic moments, but mostly filled with poor writing that serves as a threadbare excuse for shenanigans or musical/dance numbers.

I'm always in for a Black movie especially one that has as much production behind it as this film. I laughed out loud at quite a few moments in the movie. It wasn't hilarious but it had more of a meaningful message than most films out now. Regina Hall is amazing in anything she is in. Issa Rae was hilarious in this movie. Marsai Martin does a great job as well. I liked the addition of some SNL regulars. The whole thing came together really well. The story wasn't spectacular but it was fun.

Büyüklere masallar. Pinokyo masalını çevirmişler. Çocukken okulda ezik olan bilişim patronu Jordan, küçük bir çocuğu ezikleyince, ertesi gün çocuk olur. Okula tekrar başlayan Jordan, yeni hayatına adapte olmaya çalışır. Öykü iyi ama işleyiş olarak sıkıntı. Tüketim ve marka çılgınlığı had safhada. Günü birlik eğlence. Filmin sonunda dersini alıp herşey düzeliyor. He tabii küçül de cebime gir.

Passably silly "body swap" movie (though owing more to BIG than VICE VERSA) starts sluggishly, but picks up as it gets going, largely thanks to Rae and Martin's incredibly broad (but resignedly entertaining) performances; this film hits you over the head to lull you into submission, but for what it is, an enjoyable enough ride.

That was a big "meh". The story had potential, lots of it, and the trailer promised what could be good comedy. However, it was a letdown. It felt flat, uninspired and poorly developed, with an ending that felt both too abrubpt and overdue.

"I woke up as a child", a premise that has been done again and again and again. Little doesn't add much to the sub-genre, apart from a predominantly black cast. Rae and Hartley have some funny moments, but the entire cast severely overacts. Unfortunately, the film is both badly written and badly directed, to the point where it just becomes obnoxious.

This movie could have been so much more. Or could it? Body swap movies don't tend to deviate from the formula. Issa Rae does a decent job but the rest of the movie basically plays like a TV show with set pieces which only exist to cut away to a random song or performance. Regina Hall's boss character simply isn't believable or even redeemed in the end. Serviceable child acting. Ultimately it was nice to see POC but they should have decided between family movie or adult comedy. Fav scene: teacher
