It was a good story throughout. Lots of questions about what was happening. The end though answered all questions. Good thought provoking movie.

Not great, had pretty bad pacing problems. Story isn't too bad though if I think about it, but imo it is just a chore to get through it. Ending is pretty sad

Why aren't more people talking about this movie? Stylistically I just love everything about it. The cinematography is very much on point, particularly the subtle use of slow motion. The score is of course excellent. Jim Gaffigan gives a great performance in dual roles. Katelyn Nacon will be an actress to look out for in the future. She had great chemistry with Gabriel Rush. I don't want to give anything a way, so I'll just say the ending elevated this from a great movie to an all time favorite.

When Linoleum ended, I struggled to surmise what the film was about. It presents an ordinary, if a little odd, Midwestern family and their daily goings-on. In true indie fashion, asynchronistic happenings are afoot, peppered in at an increasing rate as the film progresses. The finale resolution lays things bare in a way that emphasises perspective, regret & happiness. Gaffigan & Nacon carry the film, alongside the plucky soundtrack. Amusing, sad, worth a watch, but not particularly memorable.

Great soundtrack that really fits this type of movie. It's gentle like the rest of it. Gaffigan performed admirably as two characters, even if both performances are rather subtle. I still give credit because they are two different types of people and he had to be compassionate AND slightly menacing. The story is indie-type stuff, telling you the power of love, but I appreciated how it was told. I got emotional. And the mystery up until that point was nice. Good characterization throughout.

“Linoleum” may not be the most profound film ever made, but it’s a gentle, heartfelt exploration of taking stock of life at all stages of one’s existence. The film’s appropriate pathos and sentiment, along with the strong performances from Gaffigan and Seehorn, make for an enjoyable experience.
