Caricature tribute to the once popular stage entertainer. Barely any truth and only an excuse to spotlight one of their own singers with some old songs. Alice Faye in the title role pulls it off nicely, looking more comfortable in her glamorous get-up then usual. On the sidekick front there was Edward Arnold & Warren William, as a couple of eternal suitors, who really got some sparkle into her life. This is not a deep biopic, it's a straight forward entertainer. Take the good with the bad.
