Libre et assoupi

Libre et assoupi is moderately amusing throughout its runtime, but a conventional 3rd act lessens the memorability of the film. The characters are fairly down-to-earth and believable, thus the film plays with the concept of idleness rather than truly indulging in the fantasy. I liked Podalydès' character (Richard the benefit officer) the most. The film is about growing-up, a sentiment dealt with a inevitability that makes it more reassuring than feel-good.
