L'homme de Londres

I had already seen the post-war British remake called Temptation Harbour (1947) with a sneaky Robert Newton performance, so it was with great interest I watched the French original with Fernand Ledoux in that same role. And in most ways it's the same film with different casting, though the British one made better use of that 'locked in the shed' portion of the film, and Newton was slightly more complicated person, but otherwise it just a variation of the same script.
