Letting in the Sunshine

Anthony Asquith might have written this, but this comedy was more in line what we associate with the director with. This was pure (sound) slapstick, very similar to what Lupino Lane made a good career of doing in the silent era. But with Lane behind the camera we get Albert Burdon as the guy falling all over the place. Looked to be very much from the same school of knocks 'n' tumble as Lane, so much one could almost mistake the two. Renee Gadd as his female equal and the two made a good team.
