Let's Go Crazy

The team had finished-up Penny Points to Paradise (1951) a week earlier than expected and just made this one for a hell of it. More like a variety show. Half-hour of various impersonation and stage routines. Peter Sellers does a bunch of them. Best one was him doing Groucho Marx. I also liked the husband and wife "wrestling" routine. A good time, but I had more fun with Penny Points.... but it was a welcome extra.

When the film "Penny Goes to Paradise", which starred Goon Show cast members Peter Sellers, Spike Milligan and Harry Secombe, finished shooting a week early, the producers took the opportunity to shoot this short feature, which features improvised comedy by Sellers and Milligan interspersed with performances by local variety show acts. Let's just say it's interesting, while not particularly good.
