I knew since this was a Nelson Eddy movie, that there is gonna be songs, but there was just too many of 'em randomly placed here. Being surrounded by an A-list supporting cast there was no need to drown this with so many intermission numbers when you got world class actors to move the story forward. Besides that Let Freedom Ring (1939) is a fine piece of MGM gloss with a heavy patriotic touch. You knew it was war times because they had to beat the American pride just that little bit harder now.
